Experience the excitement of helicopter flying with a day designed to inspire, challenge, and build your confidence. Whether you're considering our modular training course or simply want to see what it’s like to take the controls, this is the perfect introduction to the world of helicopter aviation.
Your day begins at 10am at your chosen base (subject to availability), where you’ll be welcomed by one of our fantastic flight instructors—your dedicated pilot for the day. After a safety and pre-flight briefing, it’s time to take to the skies for your first 1-hour flight.
Following your flight, enjoy a break for lunch and the chance to ask questions, reflect on your experience, and prepare for the next session. Then it’s back in the air for your second 1-hour flight, giving you more time on the controls and a chance to build on what you’ve learned.
Depending on weather and operational factors, your flight route may include a landaway destination or will take place over the scenic landscapes of Leicestershire or Oxfordshire.
The full experience can last up to 6 hours, including briefings, pre-flight preparations, and flying time. Whether you're taking the first step toward a new career or just ticking off a bucket list dream, this unforgettable day is a great way to discover what flying a helicopter is all about.
The day includes the following:
Safety Briefing
Two hours of hands-on flight time
Lunch
A pilot’s logbook to record the flights taken on the day
All pre-flight briefings and debriefs

You’ll have hands-on time at the controls of a Cabri G2 helicopter, and your flight hours from the day can be officially logged. If you don’t already have a pilot logbook, we’ll provide one for you.
